Same thing as the lizards, they will run but the kites run towards the hardest object they sense nearby. Then they run straight toward it and try to dodge it as last second possible. Last hawk kite standing wins and becomes the new King. It was Aqua’s blessing that made them jump over her, the blessing just increases luck, so her luck was increased to make sure the kite’s chances of dodging Darkness were increased
