GTS Agent Ch 24: This Is Over, The decision Made!

Agent 100 stood silently, her dark eyes fixated on the ruined expanse below her. The destruction wrought by Agent 10 lingered in her mind, the casual cruelty of it all gnawing at her. She thought about what Agent 10 had said earlier, her mocking voice still echoing in her ears. Was this really what I wanted? she wondered. To use this power for such pointless, foolish means?

Her hands balled into fists as she whispered to herself, "No..." The word barely left her lips, soft and filled with determination. She straightened her posture, her gaze sharpening as it caught a faint glint far in the distance.

"Let's finish this," Agent 100 murmured.

Northward, a towering structure gleamed in the sunlight. A massive, silver castle—its spires piercing the sky, shining brighter than any building she had ever seen before. It was both majestic and defiant, standing tall amid the desolation surrounding it.

"That must be the palace," she muttered, her voice steady as she began moving toward it. Each step she took left deep impressions in the ground, her sheer size tearing apart the earth and crushing whatever stood in her path.

As she approached, the palace grew smaller and smaller in comparison to her towering frame. Soon, she loomed over it, her shadow blanketing the structure entirely. She leaned forward slightly, her presence suffocating to those within.

"King of Krythara, come out now!" Agent 100 commanded, her voice booming across the landscape.

The castle remained still, its ornate doors sealed tight. She waited, the seconds stretching into minutes, but no one emerged. Her patience wore thin, and she dropped to one knee, the force of her weight causing the ground to tremble. The castle itself swayed precariously, cracks spidering across its foundation.

Agent 100 brought her face closer, her long, flowing black hair spilling forward. Strands of it fell onto the city below, smashing through structures and causing small-scale destruction that she hardly noticed. She studied the castle with a piercing gaze, her brow furrowed in concentration.

Then, a flicker of green light caught her attention. It began faint but quickly grew brighter, spreading through the castle's interior like veins of energy.

Her eyes widened in realization. "What—"

A sudden green beam erupted from the castle, slamming directly into her face. The impact exploded against her skin with a deafening roar, smoke and light engulfing her features. Agent 100 recoiled slightly, her face stinging from the assault. She raised a hand to her cheek, her fingers brushing against the faint scorch mark left behind.

She growled low in her throat, her anger bubbling to the surface. "Bastards," she muttered, her voice filled with venom. Her gaze locked onto the castle, and with deliberate precision, she pointed her index finger downward.

Slowly, she brought it down, piercing through the castle's highest tower with ease. The structure crumbled beneath her touch, its once-proud spires falling apart like fragile sandcastles. Dust and debris filled the air as the castle collapsed further under her weight.

Finally, tiny figures began to pour out from the ruins, scattering like ants fleeing a collapsing hill. Agent 100 watched them intently, her lips curling into a faint, grim smile. "Finally," she muttered, her tone dark and low.

She leaned in closer, her breath washing over the tiny individuals as they gathered in a trembling crowd. "I want to talk to the king," she said, her voice calm but commanding. The tiny beings stood silent, their terror palpable.

"Talk," she said sharply. "I'll hear you."

After a tense moment, a single figure stepped forward—a speck compared to her enormous presence. The alien raised a trembling hand in what seemed to be a gesture of introduction.

"I... I am the king," the tiny voice called out, though to Agent 100 it was barely more than a squeak.

Agent 100's expression remained stoic. "The Confederation demands that this planet submit to its rule," she said firmly. "Do so, and my accomplice and I will leave."

The king hesitated, glancing back at his people before straightening his posture. Though his voice shook, his words carried defiance. "The Confederation is nothing but a band of bullies," he shouted, "throwing around their power without cause or reason!"

Agent 100 said nothing in response. Her dark eyes held no visible reaction as she considered his words. It was only then that she noticed a presence beside her—Agent 10, leaning over her shoulder, her smirk as sharp as ever.

"What a brave king," Agent 10 said, her tone dripping with mock admiration. Without hesitation, she reached down, her fingers plucking the alien king from the crowd as though he were no more than a crumb.

Screams erupted from the tiny beings below as the king flailed helplessly in Agent 10's grasp. She ignored them, bringing the tiny alien up to her face with a wicked grin. "Bravery isn't always the best choice," she said softly, her voice carrying a chilling edge.

She opened her mouth slowly, her tongue darting out to moisten her lips as she held the king aloft. His tiny form squirmed as she tipped him toward her mouth, her motions agonizingly slow and deliberate. Then, with a small flick of her fingers, she dropped him onto her tongue and closed her lips around him.

Agent 100's expression darkened as she watched. "We're not here to destroy everything," she said sharply, her voice cutting through the moment.

Agent 10 paused, her tongue pressing the tiny figure against the roof of her mouth. She held Agent 100's gaze for a long moment before sighing dramatically. With a slight tilt of her head, she spat the king out onto her palm.

"Lucky you," Agent 10 said, her voice mockingly sweet. "You get to live. As long as you and your people submit."

The king, trembling from head to toe, managed a weak nod. "We... we submit," he croaked, his voice barely audible.

Agent 100 stood to her full height, her shadow once again casting over the frightened crowd. She glanced at Agent 10, who was now licking her fingers with a smirk.

"This is over," Agent 100 said firmly, her tone leaving no room for argument. She turned her back on the ruins, stepping away from the chaos. Behind her, Agent 10 chuckled softly, her grin never faltering.
