However, they were only budgeted for 13 episodes, So, they decided to focus on the pivotal interactions and make sure to get to the ending for all the main and side plots. S2 was only greenlit due to the commercial successes of Kaguya-sama and MDUD.

They’ve probably been meeting for a few weeks maybe even a month or two. The show will most definitely skip around a lot. S2 is mostly just to help fill in some of the gaps that were skipped in S1 but even then you dont really get to see the ENTIRETY of the story.

2024-10-27 17:01:23 +0000 UTCepisode 1 had me so confused too, like how fast everything just moved. but I think it just doesn't show time skipping so it feels like the next day, but the characters do tell you that time passed. like hori's friend says "you see those 2 together a lot lately" or miyamura said something like "it wasn't sudden, it happened a while back actually". it seems season 1 was condensed from the manga, then "season 2" is called the missing pieces and it supposed to fill out more of the story from season 1 that we missed. I'm no expert though I started watching horimiya when it won the poll, so i'm barely about to start season 2.

2024-10-27 16:12:14 +0000 UTCGreat reaction! Horimiya is a very cute romance, truly wholesome without any gratuitous fanservice. Second season is indeed filling gaps of what they glossed over in the first season, but it’s really just an added bonus, the show feels complete even without it.

2024-10-27 15:43:30 +0000 UTCI read the manga and from my understanding they do skip certain parts of the manga. The manga is like 100+ chap and they condensed the story in 13 episodes . I believe there is a 'second season' where they cover some gaps and show more of the side stories.
