The author had a great time spending lots of time with the new couple. Shin is trying to buy a gift for her, and Lena is trying to ensure that Shin is only interested in her. Crossing my fingers for Season 2 one day.

Lena finaly meets the people she treasured in person, sad that she only gets to meet 5 of the many many 86 who interacted with her. Now they get to fight side by side, Undertaker, Werewolf, Laughing Fox, Snow Witch, Gunslinger, Cyclops and Bloody Regina.

It hits a whole lot harder at the gravestone when you see how genuinely happy she is about it. Absolutely incredible.

2024-09-26 16:43:31 +0000 UTCA good call back is before the Morpho mission when Shin is talking to Fred and he refers to himself as “just a reaper” compared to when he tells everyone here “I am the reaper” to show how he is slowly changing and moving forward Also this is very much a prologue to the story as this only covers vol 1-3 of the LN and they are up to volume 12 in print currently but if it’s a one season only anime it ends in a perfect way

Almost the entire episode is 2 people talking in front of each other but thanks to the amazing directions it still manages to be so entertaining.

2024-09-26 15:30:55 +0000 UTCHey guys I just wanted to give some extra deets from the LN such as how the federacy reacted to the republic. Also this all from vol 1 so it's not spoiler at this point. So first the day catastrophe struck, the Republic founding festival. That years High-school valedictorian went on stage and protested the republics treatment of the 86, most laughed at him, some said nothing and some secretly agreed with him but said nothing, unable to speak up. Then the republic was destroyed, but the Alba citizens didn't repent their sins, they blamed others, believing themselves to be the victims till the end, the Republic citizens were slaughtered by the millions Next the Federacy of Giad shows up with state of the art weaponry and begins pushing the legion out of Republic territory. The Alba welcomed them with applause but unfortunately for them the Federacy somehow knew of the persecutions. The Federacy led an 86 Rescue Operation so they saw the internment camps for themselves. Remember the war has only been going on for 10 years so alot of the federacy people had relatives that lived in the republic before the war, and then they come and find this. Safe to say they were NOT happy The operation commander would go on to tell the President and other high officers of the republic "if you hated color that much, you may as well have dyed your flag white". Things got better tho, the federacy discovered that some Alba was secretly keeping records of the 86 since this man had gone to school with many of them in the past. Unable to bear the guilt any longer he marched to the Frontline and was never seen again. Things did not end there tho, eventually the federacy found journals of inmates detailing the atrocities that had been committed. 86 would come forward with their own stories, videos were found of Republic soldiers crimes against the 86, they found documents of human experimentation and trafficking of infants, and finally they found a great number of skeletons buried beneath the camps and inside the fortress walls. After that there were comments saying that they should abandon the republic but that didn't happen. The federacy said "let those who know shame suffer from it until their dying day. And any pigs incapable of feeling shame don't even warrant attention of acknowledgement" I believe the number of surviving 86 was 10 thousand, I can't remember how many there was before the war but somewhere in the millions. Sorry if this was long. If I got anything wrong please correct me. Hope yall found this interesting!! Glory to the fuckin spearhead squadron!!!

2024-09-26 15:30:37 +0000 UTCHumanity as a whole are typically programmed to blame someone for negative events that they experience. Marcel saw his friend get killed by Shin. From Marcel’s pov it looked like Shin didn’t care about Eugene and just killed him instead of trying to save him still(even though Eugene was clearly going to die lol). When Eugene’s sister found out, she probably wanted to know why it happened, how it happened, etc. Marcel not wanting to be blamed but the sister, decided to tell her that Shin killed Eugene instead of trying to save him. Point is, yes it is pretty bad what Marcel did but disgusting is a bit much. Everyone does things they regret when they are enraged by anger. After the enrage wears off is when you realize what you have been doing. Marcel regrets it which is why he apologized. He isn’t as mentally strong as Shin. Remember Shin has been fighting on the battlefield for years. Marcel had just barely started fighting in the battlefield for like a few weeks or maybe a month or two.

2024-09-26 15:12:32 +0000 UTCI believe the anime covers volumes 1-3 of the light novels and there is currently 13 volumes out. We do not know if a second seasons is coming. A-1 is a great studio but has a track record of productions issues as they tend to take on more than they are capable of handling. So it could be on the back burner but this show requires a lot of time to animate as it’s a LN and people wouldn’t settle for anything less than the masterpiece that was the first season. (And of course blu-ray sales, merch etc all factor in)
