Let me try to explain a few things. First, the blonde girl didn't take SHIN'S (Shin was the one that warned them not ALL of them. ONLY Shin did.) warning seriously is because all he said is that there is *wtv exact number of enemies he said to them* of legion on their way. Remember that he can HEAR them from very far away, not see them though. He had no proof that a whole bunch were coming unless he straight up reveals that he has that power which he didnt reveal it because raiden told him not to, we know that Shin for sure would have revealed it otherwise. Next thing is the nouzen clan. What frederica means that Kiri isnt a direct relative to the nouzen clan is that he is not part of the MAIN family. You know how clans have their main clan family and the side families that would be like cousins to the main family's children? yea so Kiri is just part of a side family and probably a very distant one from the way Frederica mentioned it. He was probably some secret love child of someone from the nouzen clan that he/she had with some random person. So they are still Blood Related, just not very close directly related with each other.

Rei used the necklace to choke him which sliced his neck. Suffocation and blood loss is why he died. Also it was only stated in the light novel!

The second thing is the whole clan thing and if anyone is adopted or not, for that shin already talked about how his family came from a different country(the one they are at now) and Frederica has the ability to see a persons present and past just by meeting them so my guess would be if she says they aren’t related, I’d take her word for it :)
