Not to mention that first scene of the first episode draws you in thinking its gonna be all action but then you find out its more about the interpersonal relationships of the 86 and milize which im sure a lot of people stopped watching because of that.

Either people love it or they don't get it or they want more fighting. Narrative and emotion carry the show and some people aren't looking for that sadly or they say it's "Boring"

I always recommend this to people looking for a new anime. The novel is so extremely well written and in the anime they hired a goat music director because the music be hittin so hard with every scene >.< point is, ye no it just flew under the radar because of other popular shows being out. Otherwise this would be one of the top best ever anime

2024-08-27 15:53:51 +0000 UTCA detail that was hinted at but mostly left out of the anime until those end flashbacks, is that Fido was originally created by Shin's father and was kind of like an AI dog. So, during those flashbacks there is an image of Shin, his brother, and Annette.

I believe the author of this story came from a family with a big military background so you can see how well she captured the sights of war.
