2024-08-23 15:43:10 +0000 UTCThe red light that deku has is nothing related to gearshift 😂 he also doesn’t need to store anything for gearshift. They already said this so long ago that the red light is the other user’s quirk called FaJin. FaJin is the quirk where he has to move a lot and then store that movement so he can then release it. It turns kinetic energy into power/strength. If he wants to power up his arms then he has to move his arms around a lot, if he wants to power up his legs then he has to move his legs around a lot(typically he does squats lol). Gearshift doe, he can activate that whenever BUT the reason he kept being told not to use it is because his body physically can’t handle it because he isn’t as shredded as All Might(he doesn’t have enough muscle mass) so it would break Deku if he overused it. Gearshift is just the power to speed things up, he is speeding up his cells to then increase his own speed which is a big stress on the body that he can’t handle very well yet. If he had more time then he could have built more of a resistance toward it so he could use it whenever he wants with no time limit and no use limit.

Btw Todoroki’s move isnt just a perfect balance between Ice and Fire, it’s a perfect balance between the two while increasing them to their highest possible strength that he can handle right now(like his dad’s flashfire fist which is Endeavors strongest move cause he increases the flames strength to max). So basically Dabi is maxing out his flames to the point that they even turned into purple flames.
