I’m not the biggest anime fan. I’m more of a House of the Dragon, The Bear, and Invincible type of guy. I subscribe to them to watch those kinds of shows, mostly, but this I’m looking the least forward to, so I just won’t tune in. I think that’s the simplest answer here. Just don’t participate and wait for the next pole. I appreciate them covering a few shows I like, and I enjoy the nuances of their reactions and differing opinions on key elements of the story I’m tuned into…and them I’m good to go and live my life. Nothing to get pressed about. Life is too short to complain all the time.

Didn't realize how much hate has My Dress up darling. Its super wholesome and cute if you can see beyond a couple of minutes of fanservice. Besides that, I genuinely think they would like the show for the cosplay theme. I also hope Call of the Night will win someday, it's totally a vibe and a 2nd season has been announced so it would be nice.

Whoa there Mr no long post I said forever ago, most reactors to My dress up darling don't like Ecchi, The React Pack very well may see it and hate it, but going in they are not some exceptions... most reactors who hate fan service still end up like the story......... . This has been ignored the whole time. The issue it's like you don't get people can be casual, they can generally hate something but be like... okay this one is cool despite it. It's like you're saying if you like My Dress up you have to be a Ecchi connoisseur or some crap. There only a few Ecchi show I even like, but I much rather they watch something "horimiya" which is non Ecchi romance. I wish could react to "Too Many Losing Heroines!" it's one of best romcom I see in while but that's not on the poll. Yes I disagree with CSA. Stories can bet met at certain levels and still be considered fiction. There doesn’t need to be a distinguishable reality to understand what is right and wrong within your own moral code. There’s a line in the sand for what ppl can tolerate in real life and in fiction. Your line is just much different than mine. I’m going to be genuine here for once, the reason I’m mainly going back and forth with you is 1) I’m bored And 2) You may not like to hear this but whether it be fictional or not sexualizing minors for the sake of fan service is still just that. You can straw man all you want with CSM but it is not comparable no matter how many words you want to type to convince yourself of it. This is going to be last comment defending this show rambling lol, But I watched a lot of reaction to this show, probably the majority of reactors don't like fan service, Roshi etc non of them do, some of them even have even dropped some shows Konsuba, Jobless etc because they was too ecchi.... StruckByBelz, awakeproductions etc but yet they watched and enjoyed My Dress Up Darling..... and I keep saying this most reactors on Youtube to this show are females. Funny enough people did this in the Carlie & Ange patron hype up fearmonger the fanservice said they won't like it......, Carlie & Ange wasn't into the fanservice but they end up liking the show. It's a repeating pattern. I then as stated before the reactpack watched other ecchi shows some of them worst then this. In Chainsaw man the main character is literally walking horniness. The show is for guys, let's be real. It's a typical loser-type archetype getting his world turned around by some sparkling popular girl who happens to be half naked all the time. Sure it has it's cute moments, but S1 at least is like mostly fanservice. As for the Kaguya comparisons, there really is just that OVA, which most people have never seen and is considered a big leap from the main show. Also let's be real, CSM is a very different kind of show, with mostly adult characters, and a teenager who is clearly in an unhealthy environment.

The author of MY Dress up Darling is a woman. The show itself is borderline shoujo romance. And literally most common reactors to this show have been women. They watch Chainsaw Man that is far more "hyper sexualized" then My Dress up Darling.... Even kaguya sama has Ecchi parts.. Kaguya had worst ecchi scenes but it was less common though out, My Dess up is more tame but far more common every episode. So it's way more noticeable. you see random panties shots and him walking in on girl etc. Meanwhile in Kaguya Miko Iino was blind folded getting grope by chicks listening to ASMR in Season 3. I watched Alana Misako, faroh, Ashewyn, JamiUwU, AwakeProductions, and many others Even if they had a negative opinion of Ecchi they overall like the show. Many of them if they have a negative opinion they don't bit there tongue. The show and manga in general is not for everyone but again they popular and highly rated. Spiler alert........ The show is literally about dressing up and doing cosplay, which already leans towards targeting a female audience. Then the show actually focuses more on her emotion getting him as far as the romance goes. So your actually getting more of the female prospective than the guy that make it a romcom. From him the show is much of self-confidence thing then an romance. So show ends up feeling like a female finding her prince charming. I agree with you on Horimya, but from what I recall when I first watched it, most women had negative things to say while men defended it, just like they’re doing now in the comments. Older shoujo is more geared toward women with better looking male leads for our gaze. Even nanami and gojo from jjk would do better than this male lead. I personally see it as better then the most on the poll, I like Romcoms so I'm a little bias, so I voted for Dress up and Horimya but that's me. They seem to like kaguya sama which the ecchi level is about the same, but Dress up is more frequent with it. People actually like the STORY of Dress up and the Characters, I never heard of anyone who watch it for ecchi stuff itself. it basically something just thrown in, And people like the story regardless. The show has ecchi parts, but overall is a pretty wholesome romcom. The author of the show is a female Shinichi Fukuda I'm starting to think a lot of people in the comments haven't seen the show and are just aware of a few ecchi parts, and really, it's not beyond anything they have seen with kaguya sama... The show itself is borderline Shoujo the type of romance stories meant to target girls it's like the author just added the ecchi stuff to get more guys to watch. that stuff tends to go more viral. but overall tone is more cute and wholesome. Steins;Gate is an older show so the chances of winning against newer shows are very slim, and it’s a show that’s been in polls in this channel for the last 2-3 years. It would be nice if they could reserve certain slots for certain content. For example, Studio Gek has a slot exclusively for seinen anime which is currently be held by Code Gease. I dropped Dress Up Darling in episode 1. I didn't do that with any of those other shows. I do think JJK and MHA are overrated though. I still keep up with them when I'm bored. We all have different opinions and that's fine. One love.
