2024-08-08 03:57:52 +0000 UTCHope you guys enjoyed watching this season, think everyone can agree it was pretty slow-paced but as a book-reader I enjoyed it. The show's got 2 more seasons (ending S4) and we have another show set in Westeros coming out next year I think you guys will find enjoyable! Really enjoyed your guys' reactions and discussions! I think with all the reactors out there that have spent years reading and devouring every bit of asoiaf lore, watching them makes you forget it really IS hard to keep track of all the names and places the books/shows throw at you. I'm glad you guys really dug S1 and got into it; and did your best to remember everyone's names (including the dragons!) and places, people shouldn't forget you guys have to remember what happened in all the shows you watch with multiple seasons~

He only has a daughter to name as heir, a brother capable of monstrous acts who wants the throne, and most of his body is in ruin. He's as Viserys was, broken and alone, and it's almost like ironic karma for every horrible thing he's done. He's also a victim of the political systems and traditions that produce such a dysfunctional royal family that in turn cause this much suffering, and the crown destroyed him like it did Viserys. - The people with blue hair/dyed hair are Tyrosh, one of the 3 cities that form the Triarchy. They produce dyes from these snails found there and decorate themselves to basically look like a Netflix live-action anime character. - Those last shots of Rhaenyra and Alicent right before the end reflect how much their positions have reversed. You see Rhaenyra through a slot in the library shelf, under the scrolls containing hundreds of years of Valyrian/Westerosi history and legacy, this massive weight that comes with being a new Queen. Followed up immediately with a shot of Alicent under open skies at dusk, like the sun has set on her being Queen and being able to rule, but the future is open and unburdened for her after years of her devoting herself to maintaining her family's power and the Realm.
