As you know, no matter what we watch, the areas of quality or fun are thoroughly subjective, so the reviews can't be the same for everyone. Even if it's a piece that's rated really great by the majority, it might not be for someone. I just wanted to share my excitement with them after watching this epi and it's the result of my efforts to convey my impression to them as well as possible. 2024-07-02 06:17:28 +0000 UTCEasily my second favorite episode right behind season 2 episode 11 of the Entertainment District arc! I love how we see the blaring contrast in leadership between Ubuyashiki and Muzan. Ubuyashiki sees the DS corp as his own family and laments with each loss. Muzan sees demons simply as tools to fortify his own ego. One's will can be carried on through generations while the other loses everything if they are slain. Wonderful character writing! Their conversation was the pregame to the epic struggle that followed! Also concerning the family, Sam was correct in saying that the Ubuyashiki's entire life goal has been to slay Muzan and they will go to countless ends to achieve that. The children and wife were present to lower Muzan's guard so that he would come closer. They were all ready and willing to give their lives to this cause. I'm a huge sucker for the indominatble human spirit so I couldn't help but cry throughout this entire episode even tho I knew what was to come. My personal MVP is Tamayo! For reasons that I think are obvious! Thanks for the early drop, keep killing it!

I like how Ubuyashiki reversed Muzan's logic by basically switching out what the entity was in the thought process. Aka, Muzan hasn't been halted, so he must be meant to exist, but on the other hand, the demon slayer's haven't been halted either, so what might that mean? Then, after speaking about the tiger's tail and the dragon's wrath, Ubuyashiki differentiated by saying he'll live on through corp members, however, Muzan's legacy ends with him. Because Muzan doesn't have the emotional perspective of true empathy and fellow feeling, he can't wrap his head around the context needed to grasp the actual meaning of that generational torch pass and the why. In a way, Ubuyashiki operated from Muzan's world view and it reverberated in his soul, enough to get him to demand "shut up". Ironically, it reached him.

Big props to Amane Ubuyashiki as well, she stuck Kagaya’s beside and didn’t waiver a little. That a ride or die on the real.

So many chills this episode, from the Hashira uniting, Zenitsu being so deadly locked in and the visuals. One of the best season finales I’ve watched. The final arc is going to be the definition of epic.
