How is that surprising? He was forced to do it to save his parents, why WOULDNT they still be friends? You'd have to be a pretty shitty person to actually place the blame on this literal traumatized child.

2024-09-06 18:20:13 +0000 UTCI think somewhere around the start Morgan mentioned that Aoyama never wanted a quirk and was fine just being a normal quirkless kid, that his parents didnt want him to not fit in. That’s not entirely correct, Aoyama wasn’t fitting in already and was coming home crying and upset because he didn’t have a quirk. Aoyama DID want a quirk, he wanted to be like the rest of the kids, so his parents gifted him a quirk because he wanted one, his parents didnt force a quirk onto him for their own sake. Quirkless kids are bullied so he definitely wouldn’t have had a simple normal life. If Aoyama wanted to remain quirkless and was ok with it then his parents wouldn’t have gotten him a quirk, they did whatever made Aoyama happy, so if he was happy being quirkless then they would have been happy with him. Also I forget who but someone mentioned he was used his whole life which, also incorrect. After getting his quirk everything was all happy sunshine and rainbows, UNTIL it came time to start high school. Before high school entrance exams started that’s when AFO first contacted Aoyama and his parents to threaten them to do his first task(apply to the same High school that All Might will be teaching at) and do everything else he demands from now on.

2024-06-06 15:50:11 +0000 UTCI think you misread or misunderstood Aoyama’s story 😂 Aoyama was born quirkless and wasn’t fitting in with everyone around. His parents noticed how sad and depressed he was that he couldn’t fit in and that he didnt have a quirk SO they decided to gift him a quirk for one of his birthday gifts. However, AFO screwed them over because he made them start doing things for him after All Might became a teacher at UA. If they didnt do what AFO asked them to then he would kill Aoyama and his family. So no it wasn’t his parents who forced a quirk on Aoyama, he WANTED a quirk because he wasn’t fitting in he also wasn’t controlled his whole life, it only began when Aoyama was about to enter high school. They just had no idea getting a quirk from afo would come with repercussions later on when Aoyama became older.

2024-06-05 22:14:09 +0000 UTCI have been neutral on Aoyama as a character. But I really felt for him and his partners, All For One really did put that poor family in lose, lose situation. I'm happy that Aoyama has good people around him to hold him down. Also, Hatsume is so awesome 😁😁
