2024-05-23 19:41:17 +0000 UTCAs far as your discussion before the show started. I think a lot of Maomao's interactions with Jinshi are influenced by her being partially raised in a brothel. She's seen men like Jinshi before who use their charisma and physical attractiveness to get things and i think she's more aware of most of the women in the rear palace of how dangerous men can be for women in this world. Her attitude towards love and relationships in general is a big theme in the show.
