I actually think her ‘feeding’ is more ‘grazing’ on the listener, given how she implies she could do so every night without risks to their health. After all? Given modern medical advances, with how much Donated Blood has to be thrown away, it likely could instead be used by Vampires. Any actual, major feeding, would probably have the same rule of thumb as Donating Blood (do no more than once a month, to avoid Health Issues) Inspired by the story ‘Glarung’, an Adult story you can find on AO3. The ‘fluffy side stories ’ has the exploration of how supernaturals who would need to feed in ways that used to make them viewed as Monsters. Like Gumiho - they’d eat livers from the dead (which would be why a large percentage would be employed as Morticians; and even when someone is getting a Liver Transplant, they’re not using their old one!) The speaker should have gone with ‘relax’ over ‘freeze’, or set up some kind of way for the listener to respond (blink once for no, twice for yes, just as an example) I heavily doubt that the memories are FULLY gone; a ‘gut feeling’ is the output the brain provides to a general comparison. The fact he’s still welcoming the speaker in, and taking care of her (only questioning the abnormal ‘why would they know about apple cobbler, it would be silly to expect there to be any left from [the mentioned encounter a year ago])
