Emilia doesnt actually care if you break her promises. She cares when you break those promises and then proceed to lie and manipulate her while doing it. Like Reinhard told Emilia he can't keep his promise to her in Arc 1 and thats fine, shes fine with it because hes not doing anything but being sincere and that is what Emilia wants. Subaru has to learn to be more sincere with her. While at sametime Emilia had to learn that not everything is them not caring about her just because they did. Like episode 13, he was saying he did all those things for her and only 1 part of that is true is helping her and none anything else. But Subaru decided to put it ALL on her while then breaking her promise as well staying back because even Emilia asked if its to much for him and he said he wont go.

2024-04-05 10:20:09 +0000 UTCKeep in mind that the source material is a light novel so some things are cut and others are left for the audience to figure out. Lots of animes adapted from manga are faithful pacing wise since they usually follow chapters panel by panel, while with light novels they have to adapt scenes from a book and decide what details are most important. I hope you guys are still enjoying the show though and reading peoples comments that clarify some points. I'm also an anime only so reading peoples comments on posts has helped me follow the story a bit more, and I might pick up the novel now just to see what I may have missed.

2024-04-04 22:39:12 +0000 UTCApologies - that’s what I’m meaning regarding Pandora - just sleep deprived and worded it wrong lol, what I wrote initially was “making her forget everything” what I meant however was “making her forget everything about her” so editing it now to make it better. As for the Puck part - we can’t say fully as we don’t know the full details on his and Emilia’s contract (besides that it sealed her memories and should she die, he was to destroy the world), so all we can say for certain is that the contract is hiding memories from her and upon its breaking, she remembered (at the very least) Fortuna, whereas she had to go through the trial to fully remember Geuse, Archi and Pandora. So it seems more like the breaking of the contract allowed Emilia the capability to remember her past, rather than just outright allowing her to remember all the people that were important to her. Of course, answers may change in future lol but we’ll see what happens.

2024-04-04 18:12:13 +0000 UTCI always just thought Pandora erased memories involving Pandora(basically the “gaps” pandora was talking about would be anytime Pandora would appear in her memories, so whenever Pandora appeared Emilia wouldnt remember who she was) and then Puck erased all other memories of her past. Cause when Puck disappeared didn’t all her memories come flooding back?(maybe except the memory of Pandora being there, she prob saw that in the trial and helped her fill in the gaps Pandora took out, luckily Echdina has all memories of everyone ig?)

2024-04-04 17:21:30 +0000 UTCSo first thing - Morgan, at the start of this episode as well as the last episode you mentioned you didn’t trust the Minor Spirits that Emilia was following…you were right not to xD it’s not mentioned in the show, however it should have been mentioned in this episode but it was cut, but Pandora is actually controlling those spirits - and it’s quite likely - that she’s been controlling them ever since Emilia first saw one when she was in her room and one showed her how to escape. This implies everything we’ve seen in Emilia’s memories so far has been a result of Pandora orchestrating all of it, so good job in trusting your instincts xD Besides that, now you all know the tragedy of Geuse, and how a once kind man fell to the depths he did and why he did…and Sam, you were right about him talking about love a lot in season one and it providing great context for what may have been going through his head in episode 15 when he made Rem play twister and he began crying, so it was a great callback and gives us some more context to him, which makes it even more enjoyable! As for Emilia’s memories, Pandora was indeed responsible for making her forget everything about her (Pandora) based on the last few things she said to her - it was an attempt to ensure Emilia didn’t want to kill her upon their next meeting, however things may not go to her plan as of this moment lol. 2024-04-04 17:02:24 +0000 UTCGeuse is not bishop of gluttony 😭😭 Gluttony is the one that took away the memory of Rem from everyone. Geuse is the bishop of sloth, it was even mentioned last episode. Anyway Vanity’s power is kinda obvious. If u go back to last episode and see how she was able to make the bishop of greed disappear it becomes extremely clear. That scene between her and greed was all it took, at least for me, to realize what her power is which is pretty crazy lol
