2023-11-28 22:06:21 +0000 UTCAbout there not being other Viltrumites that feel that way, At the end of S1 Omni-Man mentioned that they killed and removed the weak from their society before setting off to conquer the galaxy. It was also mentioned as the great purge in last episode when Allen was giving his report about Mark and Omni-Man. My personal theory is that they killed every other Viltrumite that was not a war mongerer and conquest crazed and then just indoctrinated the rest from birth. Hard to breakaway from literal thousand of years of indoctrination, especially when your whole society and everyone you know and love readily accept it as the ultimate truth and actively promotes that truth. 2023-11-28 20:58:41 +0000 UTCSo, on the "why" Nolan decided to save the ants, you have the remember he was a hero back on Earth. His time with Debbie and Mark and all the experience he had on Earth changed him to, I surmise, such a degree that he changed from a ruthless Viltrumite conquerer to becoming the hero he was play-acting as. The whole battle he had with Mark wasn't just about convincing Mark but also about convincing himself that his life on Earth meant nothing to him, that Earth and its people meant nothing to him. Which evidently isn't true imo. He basically had a Reiner moment. I kid, but there can be drawn some serious parallels between Omni-Man and Reiner's character.

2023-11-28 16:22:33 +0000 UTCNext to Mark, Debbie might be my favorite character on the show. It also helps she's played by the fantastic Sandra Oh. Debbie is a strong, sweet, and enduring lady. All the female characters are much better represented in the show than they are the books.

I love how Mark kept telling his pops "fuck you". It was just so real and true for somebody who been through what Mark has, the great voice acting by Steven Yeun also helped convey that. This show is incredible.

2023-11-28 16:16:59 +0000 UTCSo excited for this episode reaction, best episodes so far in this season. “How do you have sex with an ant?” do you really want to know. I would not want to know lol. Don’t forget Vitrumites have strong DNA, it implied whatever a vitrumite mate with. It’s offspring will be predominant vitrumites blood. So mark little brother might still be somewhat strong despite it being half insectoid. There most likely were vitrumites that have sympathy and empathy, but most likely kill off during the “Great purge” stated in last episode and showing in season 1 flash back finale. Vitrumites’ Philosophy are f**k up. Like, they believe if you deserve to live. You would still be alive and not dead like their opponent. This was foreshadowed during season 1 finale. When they kill off all the “weak” ones. Awesome reaction as always, I knew this episode was going to be a big shocker to you ladies. Also, just wondering, why isn’t invincible in the weekly schedule in discord?
