2023-11-19 17:05:51 +0000 UTCThe way the rituals work are like pokemon battles in a way megumi has to defeat the shikigami himself to gain control over them so the ones megumi can use he has already defeated no ten shadows user has been able to defeat mahoraga to control it every pther one is thought to just use it as megumi uses it which is summon it as like a kamikaze type ability for himself and the person they drag along in it.

And considering that in every other occasion we could see him change his stance to one similar to the mahoraga/makora one and/or say the chant, I find it hard to believe that he would’ve done that there

Sadly Mappa's shitty working conditions is very likely gonna ruin a potential all time production season (Mob Psycho S3/OPM S1) But considering the animators have been pulling miracles literally since the beginning of Shibuya, I won't doubt they can pull off a couple more to end the season strong.

2023-11-18 03:16:02 +0000 UTCWhen sukuna referred to makora using positive energy, it wasn’t to heal, it was for purely for attacking. IIRC cursed spirits don’t use reverse cursed technique to heal. Because they’re made of cursed energy, they can just make up what they’ve lost. But makora seems a little different because adapting and changing is its entire ability

Plus I don’t think megumi would go from "not fighting back" in megumi’s own words, to killings himself and todo for no reason. But I’m pretty sure it’s mostly a meme. It’s just that some people genuinely believe it

He was about to use it: - at the end of episode 1 (against sukuna), - in episode 5 (also against sukuna, which is why sukuna said that makora could’ve beaten him if it was the sukuna from back then) - [probably] in episode 19 (against hanami) - in episode 23 (against the special grade curse before he decided to try his domain expansion) - And in the previous episode (against Toji, after he failed to stab him, right before toji killed himself.) In each of those moments, you’ll notice megumi change his stance to a similar one to this episode and/or start the same chant he did in this episode ("Eight-handled sword, ring-ring…")
