The working conditions aren't a surprise, but it's pretty uncommon for people in the industry to publicly air their grievances like this (especially when the anime is ongoing). They're already watching violet evergarden which is pretty much the same thing, so I hope they don't go for frieren. Frieren is just a pretty anime trying to pull at your heartstrings while maintaining cliches, meanwhile those other shows are actual rollercoasters and fun to react to. Just my 2 cents.
