Honestly, Benimaru's character is not as interesting as the rest of Rimuru's subordinates lol. He's probably the most generic shounen protagonist type.

It's also got a bunch of great Milim episodes since she hangs out alot. It's much more feel-good but it takes place during Season 1 of Slime so it explains why Rimuru went so far to save everyone in Season 2. Another more light-hearted anime is Ms. Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, it's hilarious and wholesome and was made by the legendary Kyoani Studios.
