Izumi really did come back to what he used to be. Nervous, unsure of himself, feeling all the emotions again, but it seems his super abilities have dulled, like Migi pointed out, at the most dangerous time of his life. Not the worst time of his life, that was when his mother died and the parasyte pierced his heart. At least he now relieved some stress, like Sam pointed out 😂. But I always loved those last lines, Shinichi's resolve to want to live, after surpassing his severe depression after facing so much death.
