Patreon is finally on my side 😍

"Nothing beats sub." Some animes are an exception my guy, FMA Brotherhood is one of those huge exceptions since the dub is honestly WAY better than the sub. But I do agree that sub is mostly better in animes. Much more emotion and sounds much better as you said.

LosTakeover

I’d actually say that it’s extremely rare for the Japanese version to be better than the English version at this point. The VAs are too good now.

Norrin Radd

If Morgan watches FMA:B in any language but English, I'll sue the channel and Patreon for Misalignment Of Illusion.

Norrin Radd

Or, hear me out, some people are complex enough to like subs for some shows and dubs for others

IzanagiAce

I mainly say dub because I love Travis Willingham and Vic Mignogna

IzanagiAce

I bet 95% of people saying sub will say sub for everything / haven't given the dub a chance. People are gonna have bias either way, but at least FMAB is considered to have one of the best dubs in anime

Dorma

Ok

Dorma

Either. Which you prefer. I don't like when people push others on how to watch somethings it weird. I usually try both to see which I like more. Imagine gatekeeping how to watch a show. These people don't respect others at all. Just a bunch of complainers in real life, and egotist.

Zerofighter93

I don't think that's a fair assessment.

Merfhew

I'm torn. The voice acting in FMAB is great either way. The experience will be enjoyable no matter which you pick, so I wouldn't normally have a preference. However, I recently noticed that *every* reaction channel I follow reacts to the FMAB dub. It would be nice to see a sub reaction for a change, but I won't lose sleep over this poll.

Merfhew

There's only a handful that I absolutely push the Dub for, and FMAB is definitely one of them. Granted; watch it how you want, but the dub is EXCELLENT.

Dreadlow

This was the best you could come up with 😂

Douglas Kelley

Then why did they react to SUB for other anime if majority of their audience are English speakers?

Douglas Kelley

Dubs are usually cringe af, about 99% of the time.

関口信玄

This is one of those animes where you can't go wrong either way.

Solebat

Tough call, both sub and dub in fullmetal are exceptional.

Matthew Houston

So I'm usually a sub purest but I've actually never seen the sub for 3 series being Cowboy Bebop, FMA B and my personal favorite Yuyu Hakusho so I'm fine with dub

Daniel Gonzalez

dub is better for fmab.

hector

The dub for that one is real good.

TBH, the sub vs dub debate is a tired and old argument. Subs are fine. Dubs are fine. Personally, there are some shows that need to be watched English dubbed like Baccano, Cowboy Bebop, or Black Lagoon, but for most anime, it doesn’t matter. Related factoid: there’s a 40 minute OVA that released in 2000 or 200- called Blood the Last Vampire (which Blood C and Blood Plus are based on) and it doesn’t have a subbed version or a dubbed version. That’s because it takes place on an American military base in Japan in the 1950s. So the voice actress for the main character speaks Japanese and English. All of the Americans have American voice actors with one exception of another character who speaks both English and Japanese. It was a pretty cool OVA

Legion

Personally I wouldn't miss out on Hange's VA's great performance as the MC ;)\

Kevin T

Ahh I’m so excited for Morgan to watch it! It’s my favorite 😍. That being said, I’m very attached to a lot of the dub cast haha so that’s where my vote is going.

april 🍏

I want a poll on where the dub voters are from, because my theory is 95% of people who prefer dub are from NA and it's an area specific phenomenon

Takezo

I say dub. Even though I know it's cool and popular to shit on it.

Nolan L Thomas

It sounds like the people saying sub haven't heard the dub, it's just: subs are always better. I'd bet a lot of those haven't even seen the show

Dorma

The dub is great. Plus that means she can watch the dub bloopers once the show is over

Legion

Although I voted sub, I think the dub is also pretty great. I'm gonna be happy (re)watching along either way.

thanners

agree

ALi Karam

Dub is short for dumb ..

JetLife2TheNextLife

One of the rare anime’s I recommend in dub!

Kageyama

Original voice acting is what I always prefer. For anime that means pretty much only Japanese. But I wouldn't watch A:TLA or Rick and Morty in Japanese.

DooDooBerry

This dub is amazing.

Chelsea Mann

Nothing beats sub. Much more emotion, more manga accurate and sounds much better. But of course the majority of the audience are English so they will default to English as seen in this poll

Jared Cunningham

Old school dubs are good, new school dubs bad.

Anthony Chavez

Dub all the way people, you know what to do.

Jesse Suthers

The dub is what I first watched it in so for me it's nostalgia talking but I don't think there's a big difference in quality between the two TBH, from what I've read and heard.

Stuart Lamble

Honestly, english is not my main language so usually I have no preference for anime english dub. My overall thoughts is that japanese voice acting usually conveys much more emotion than any other language dubs, hence my preference for it. Regardless, I will accompany Morgan's reactions, either if its sub or dub.

Mikael Lima

One of the few animes that has good dub
