basically being a true warrior by fighting the inner beast and the natural behavior of a Norse man. a true warrior doesn’t need a sword because he fights the natural desire to use a sword to kill, which would be the easier path

I end up having a separate window open of the actual episode just so I can hear the show. You should consider playing around with the sound. Check out some other reactors. See what their sound levels are like.

2023-06-03 08:55:21 +0000 UTCnot sure if you caught it but it was canute's dialogue from s1 ep 20 that was happening while thorfinn was looking upa t the sky, same episode and same realization. Thorfinn heard his speech about being furious with god, and notices the same thing, but doesn't agree which is why he's going to meet him!

Anger with violence becomes self-defeating, and in order to break out of this cycle, Thorfinn had to fight his "true battle" by becoming a true warrior. We often associate being a warrior with warfare, but this term has different meanings across different cultures, and in this case, being a warrior means having the courage to internally fight your negative self.

2023-06-02 17:04:17 +0000 UTCThis season blew the doors off my expectations. They have done such a great job adapting it. From the director, to the animators, to the voice actors, and certainly the composer of the original score, everyone went hard as hell and turned in a 10/10 job.
