2023-04-30 18:23:13 +0000 UTCThat's actually not the case, page 35 of chapter 1 in the manga Mito says to gon "I'm sorry, Ging didn't abandon you I made him give you up". But honestly with Gings resources as a top hunter if he wanted to keep Gon he could have done that no problem. So in essence he still abandoned him.
