2024-08-22 19:49:36 +0000 UTCto be fair he doesnt look anything like tanjirous dad, tanjirous dad doesn't have that scar, he wasnt a swordsmen he just did the sun dance, he also has a shorter ponytail as seen in the fight tanjirou had with rui. so they didnt really make him look like anyone but the swordsman dude. Not to mention his dad died of sickness a long time ago (I will admit i also at one point thought it could be his dad till they showed him in the rui fight)

He actually doesn't look that similar to his dad at all. Hair color literally is the only similarity. The hairstyle isn't even the same. I understand forgetting characters and all, but like..... this is ridiculous lmfao.

Akaza already had a conversation with Muzan after defeating Rengoku, Muzan was STILL not happy. In fact, he was like, "Yeah, so? That's nothing special. Why the fuck didn't you kill the other Demon Slayers there? And where's my Blue Spider Lily?"

2023-04-13 21:52:39 +0000 UTCYeah, but then there's this thing called common sense. As clearly implied, Upper One is over 113 years old. That's well before the time of Tanjiro's dad, clearly. We also have literally SEEN his dad clear as day in Season 1 and Mugen Train. You can always look back on YT or wherever at the scenes he was in, and you can hear it's a completely different voice. All it really takes is putting two and two together that it's not his dad. That doesn't mean there isn't a connection, or that he doesn't have any ties or significance in relation to the lore. You can make some other more logical theories based on his appearance, such as his attire and weapon of choice.
