2023-03-02 11:51:45 +0000 UTCI think when Viserys told Otto he can't trust his judgement he was referring to him giving Viserys Alicent so that they could have a kid and his bloodline would inherit the iron throne. So any advice he would give the king would be to that end which is in direct conflict with the king naming Rhaenyra his heir.

2023-03-02 09:34:34 +0000 UTCThe main thing Otto did wrong was actively send spies to stalk Rhaenyra. He was trying to find anything that would lead the king to name Alicent's son as heir. The king realized this once he came to snitch on her and then fired him.
