Yeah, it's one of the rare things that definitely should have had an explanation in the anime; as without playing the game, most people have no idea what's happening in that scene. The game has an entire story mission explaining what BDs are, so surprised the anime didnt even have a sentence explaining it lol.

2023-01-14 20:06:15 +0000 UTCThe game did come out in late 2020 and they should’ve taken more time with it but it was still so fun. Definitely worth a play through. Plus the show takes place before the game so there are references to show characters in the game

Braindances can be pulled from recordings of dead people's real experiences which is kind of messed up so some are illegal. David was choosing to re-live the final moments of the guy that went on that killing spree and died I guess just for a thrill. It's pretty confusing since they don't explain that really.
