Idk, seemed pretty obvious to me Giyu killed him. It showed Rui's head landing on the ground, clearly no threads attached, and he didn't even see Giyu get that close before it was too late. Giyu is on a whole different level, being a Hashira and all, which is the highest rank a demon slayer can get.

2021-01-14 14:57:14 +0000 UTCThe “controversy” with the earrings is that they’re similar to the rising sun flag used by imperialist japan which lasted up to back in ww2 when they invaded several countries like korea, taiwan, etc. Thing is, while they’re similar they’re just not really the same and with the context of the full story(kimetsu, not imp japan) and who passed them down to who their design just makes sense. Unfortunately you can’t do much about it and it’s understandable that some could get cultural/ historical ptsd.
