It never really seems malicious, but more along the lines of someone who has a -really- good secret that's too good to keep to themselves. Not every anime community is like this, but I'd really recommend having Dani or someone who's seen everything vet the comments for you. This is probably one of the -worst- animes to be spoiled on. Those of us who've backed reactors in the past are all too familiar with the comments you made about Jean, how spoilers can have the oppositie effect and make you dislike a character simply because people are pushing you to like them. It's your reaction! Enjoy it at your pace, theorize to your heart's content and don't worry about the loud peanut gallery ^^ You can't please everyone! :)

2020-12-23 14:32:54 +0000 UTCMost people throwing hissy fits because of your Jean slander probably disliked Jean too, when they first started watching this but now that they're all caught up, their view on him has changed somewhat. People have grown to like him, others not so much. Regardless, it's not that that deep for people to be getting upset over. It's unfair and selfish on you guys. You two are seeing the show from your point of view, not theirs. Continue doing yous and like Dani said in one of the Jujutsu reactions "who cares what people say".
2020-12-23 04:03:56 +0000 UTCIt's sad that people are hinting about characters and spoiling your experience. That being said, I really liked Jean's transition the past few episodes. Losing Marco and realizing that he has to fight was a great character moment for him. He used to always argue with Eren but at the end of the episode he was basically saying he's ready to give his life for him if Eren is willing to do his part. That's nothing like the Jean from the first few episodes who was just thinking how to live an easy life. The scene at the graduation ceremony with the music was really powerful. It really conveys the message that this choice was not easy at all for all of them. Being brave is not about not feeling fear, but overcoming the fear. :) Episode 16 is one of my favorites of the season. Great reaction, I can't wait for more, this show only gets better from here on.
