Don't be the stereotype, he needs a shoulder not a cock or a muzzle to kiss. You'll only make him hate himself more when he sobers up if you do, you adorable little pine Martin. Dana was right to leave his ear like that, looks badass. The little tail clip/strap thing is a neat idea for a solution to a problem humans never had, as much as most would want a tail. It would make driving a literal pain in the rear.
