Important - Your Pledges and Patreon

No update as yet (medical reasons) but in case you have not heard or read your emails I wanted to update you on Patreon and changes they have made that you may wish to know about.
Long story short, they have altered how they charge and distribute their payments. So up until now it was that Patrons ONLY pay what they pledge. Creators then receive that pledge amount and 5% is deducted for Patreon's fee and another % is deducted for processing fees, and what is left the Creator actually receives from a charged post. So, for a very rough example. If Patrons have pledged a total of $100, the creator would actually receive around $80-85 give or take depending on the processing fees.
Now, however, Patreon have took it upon themselves (without asking creators that I am aware of) to alter this. Now the processing fees will shift from the Creator paying them from the pledges to the Patron who pledges. In short, Creators now receive 95% of a pledge amount rather than the 85-95% (roughly) they were before. Patrons, however, now not only pay their pledge but a % on top of that. I do not know the specifics but Patreon have said they will notify all who pledge.
So I wanted to bring this up to you all so you can check your emails, get up to date on this, and decide if you want to continue pledging or not, or if you do if you want to maintain the pledge amount. I would not blame anyone for altering either way. But I at least wanted to be up front with you all so you can decide for yourselves.
I was actually fine with how the system was before, but no one asked me.
