Still have not reached 55%. BUT, almost there now. This is because:
- I've added a new, huge chunk of dialogue I thought of that I really wanted in this first 'position'. Along with several smaller pieces. It was just too good to pass up.
- This dialogue has been incredibly hot to write, and so it has been hard going.
So last update the story was 251 pages in Word and over 150,000 words. It is now currently 266 pages in Word and over 165,000 words. So that should give you some idea of how fucking long and detailed this story is. To put that into perspective a little, the first sex scene is about 1/7th complete (sounds less than it is, trust me) yet as it stands makes up OVER HALF of that total page count and word count! And there is still two more sex scenes and the intermittent narratives to go.
Don't let that length worry you. Yes, it is taking longer than I planned (several times). Yes, deadlines shift. BUT it is racing towards its conclusion now. Trust me on this. The first sex scene is always the hardest and slowest to write, but I am on a roll with it. There is just so much of it to fucking write! But I think, ultimately, that will be a good thing when the story is done. The detail, the length, what happens, how it feels, what it tells, all should be incredible.
Also, I received feedback regarding HP when it was released that some of you felt that the sex scenes lacked in detail what the build up had. This time I wanted to experiment with really making the sex scenes fine detailed and succulent. Shall we say ;) We'll see which you prefer.
And yes - there WILL be repetition. Sex is repetitive, and I put the repetition in for my personal preference. (I will try to get rid of some that even I think is too much though).
Anyway, the story is WELL on the way now. A lot to go, but it is all fucking beautiful stuff.
