Added 2017-11-13 03:10:47 +0000 UTCCurrently still trying to reach 55%. The story is now 251 pages in Word, almost 40 pages in Lit, and well over 150,000 words.
The sex scenes are enormous (the first itself will likely be longer than the entirety of HP) and detailed (some of which is likely repetition to be removed during editing). I had planned the current section of the first scene to only take me a day; it has taken me three alone already and I am still not done with it, and there are seven more after this before the first THIRD of the first sex scene is completed. While this part of the first scene is the longest, it is still taking much longer than I had hoped.
Why? Basically because there is so much detail and so much I am putting in. But also because each part of the dialogue, and each paragraph, has to be hot - and you can imagine how difficult it is to write when what you read (or imagine) is hot and you enjoy it. Together that makes for slow going.
Still writing for hours a day, and the story IS on the way to completion. It is just taking longer and taking more out of me than I had anticipated. Hopefully it will be worth the wait. But like I said, I won't be writing another story like this one - it has been an experience but it not one I would like to repeat.
Going to try to finish this section tomorrow and finally get the story to 55% officially. (Right now it is about 54.5%).
