Added 2017-08-15 13:56:27 +0000 UTCShort update on the computer situation (which obviously affects writing the story). While I have the computer working there are some driver and hardware issues/changes I need to make to try to fix some other issues - which cause crashes (and thus endanger the story and the files). The new hardware is en-route and when it comes I can work on getting the computer back in order. This includes a new hard drive and PSU, so that should give you some idea of how much this impacts the chance of writing and what I need to do to fix it. Shouldn't be a problem, however; it will just take time to fix rather than being a real issue.
So the good news is that the computer is working, these changes should fix all of the problems (unless it is a motherboard issue, which I doubt), and I have all of my stories and story-files backed up so I won't lose anything. This means apart from the time it will take to change everything and reinstall programs, files, and Windows, everything will be up and running and no technology issues will get in the way of writing.
As for other things, I am determined to have no further delays so I have written out a plan that accounts for life and will stick to it. I won't update any longer on the computer issue - I have done so to let you know about its seriousness and its affect on the story writing - and I won't update until I have reached the next milestone. There are several of these, but the next one will be a biggie.
