Development Blog - April 2024

Hello all!

It’s time for another lil development blog.

Firstly, I suppose I should cover the release of Chapter 3. Honestly, this went down better than I thought. I was worried most people would consider it a disappointingly short update. Let’s face it, in comparison to Chapters 1, 2 and the upcoming 4 and 5, it is significantly shorter. But the overall consensus I’m getting is that people loved it. Naturally, every release comes with a wave of the anti-NTR hive mind still spouting the same spiel about Parker and Evelyn, but this time it didn’t get to me at all. I guess my skin is thickening.

My patronage has more or less doubled in the past week and the membership count on the discord has probably trebled. Browsing the discord server and looking at the rampant spoiler-tagged speculation has begun to imitate browsing classified military documents… and that fills me with joy.

So Chapter 4, is more or less complete. There is still a few things to iron out in the coding and sound, and then all the testing and proofreading etc… I’m also deep into Chapter 5 but unfortunately, some real-life stuff has resulted on me being slightly behind where I wanted to be at this stage. I got incredibly ill with something that absolutely knocked me on my ass for about three weeks. It felt like Covid x100, but tests came back negative, so who the fuck knows what it was. During that, I also got a promotion to a management position in my job and was dragging my zombie-looking ass to work so that I didn’t let down the team I had now inherited. When I absolutely should have been staying in bed to recover, I was instead barely being able to drag myself from my desk to go and have a coughing fit in the bathrooms, where people couldn’t hear me and be concerned that I was dying. The promotion also means that I now only work from home one day a week instead of three, which will slow down development a bit too (not that I was totally spending those three days working on OS instead of my actual job or anything).

That said, I’m about two thirds through posing and rendering CH5, currently coming in around 460 renders so far. Only about 30 of these are post-worked so far. The script and code are already in place and are all the way to Chapter 12, though I do make amendments as I go. And sometimes ideas and storylines pop in my head and I work them in.

On that note, one of the storylines that sprouted long after I wrote the initial script, takes place in Chapter 5. I already mentioned this a couple of months ago, but this particular plot has the opportunity for any of you lovely Patrons to get involved and put your stamp on Origin Story. It involves the MC browsing an OnlyFans-esque website where he finds a particular character in the game uploads their own content. Naturally, it’s the internet, and there’s a whole variety of comments on her pictures all the way from loving simps to perverts obsessed with impregnating her (you know who you are). I’m due to start posing this scene very soon, so time is running out on the opportunity to play a character and add a fun comment to her photos, to which she will reply (and usually berate you). If you want to take part, hop in the Power Play Input channel on discord and reply to the photos on there as if you were in character. The funnier, weirder or more perverted the better. Add a username if you want it to be something specific, otherwise I will just namedrop your username as it appears on the OS discord. Again, knowledge of who this particular character is might be a slight spoiler for you, so be warned.
