Tier's price adjustment

I want to take a moment to share an important update with you. Starting November 2024, there will be a small adjustment to our Patreon tiers:
$1 (Monthly update) ➔ $2
$3 (VIP Support) ➔ $4
$5 (Get all update) ➔ $6
$10 (Get most of the add-on) ➔ $12
$20 (Request a commission) ➔ $25
This change comes after 6 years of maintaining the same pricing. It was a difficult decision, especially knowing the current economic challenges many of you may face. I deeply value every single one of you and your commitment to supporting our mission to provide tools like Translator++ for game localization and translation.
Why the Price Adjustment?
This adjustment is necessary to sustain and grow the project in the long term. In addition to covering operational costs, your support is vital for:
Research and Development for AI-Assisted Translation: I strive to bring you the latest AI technology to support your localization needs. However, each new feature requires thorough testing, and every AI update costs both time and money. This tier adjustment will help cover these ongoing R&D expenses.
Enhanced Cloud Services: Translator++ relies on various cloud services to provide a better experience for you, from hosting the documentation portal to delivering the update packages you download. Over the past year, the cost of some of these services has increased. As the community grows, we also need better and faster cloud services to keep up with demand, and this price adjustment will help make that possible.
Hiring Additional Support: To continue delivering high-quality tools and content, I need to bring on assistants and a content writer. Until now, I have been handling everything—coding, debugging, writing documentation, and creating tutorials—entirely on my own. With your continued support, I can hire the help I need to speed up development and bring new features and improvements to you even faster.
How Does This Affect Existing Members?
If you are an existing patron, here’s how this change will impact you:
Monthly Members
For current monthly supporters, the new pricing will take effect 31 days after November 1, 2024. This means your next renewal payment after November 1 will still be at the old rate. For example, if your renewal date is November 5, 2024, you will pay the old price. However, starting from your renewal in November, the new price will apply.
Annual Members
If you are an annual supporter and your renewal date falls within 31 days after November 1, 2024 (on or before November 1, 2024), you will be charged the old price for your upcoming renewal. If your renewal date is after November 1, 2024, the new price will apply. This means you can secure the current price for the entire year ahead if you renew or switch to an annual membership before November.
Annual members will receive an additional reminder about the price change two weeks prior to their renewal date, giving you ample time to prepare.
You can still get Translator++ for free🙂
I know even a $1 increase from the base price can feel significant, and I truly appreciate your understanding.🙇♀️ For those unable to continue their support, I am deeply grateful for all you've contributed. However, rest assured, the public version of Translator++ will remain available for free, and I will continue to update it annually.
My primary motivation for creating this tool has always been to support quality fan translations. If you are working on non-commercial fan-translation projects, you can still access Translator++ and all the add-ons for free, just like before.
