2025-10-27 04:10:03 +0000 UTCI just commented recommending yall watch Trail To Oregon, but I am so starved of Holy Musical B@tman reactions I will literally pay someone 30 bucks for one. The composer of the music is the same man who played the Djinn and the Sultan in this show, along with it being Jeff Blim’s debut performance! Being a Batman fan is not a prerequisite (but it helps) and some of the songs have gone platinum in my car. I think it has one of the best villain songs in Starkid (up where with Kick It Up A Notch and Literal Monster) (in my opinion)

2025-10-27 04:05:26 +0000 UTCIf you guys wanna see Jeff Blim in a slightly more nuanced role, along with him and Rachel (Princess’s actress) having a different dynamic, I cannot recommend Trail To Oregon enough! It’s one of my favorites and the story and music is entirely written by Blim. The comedy scale on that one is definitely cranked higher than Twisted’s, but I think some of those songs are also total bangers.

To be fair, I'd be bewildered and confused, too, if I thought tiger-f-er could make sixty porcupines pleased in less than an hour.

2025-10-25 00:50:33 +0000 UTCI think Jeff Blim's acting was phenomenal. However, I don't like what they did with Aladdin's character. I don't see a reason why he couldn't have just killed his parents without making it a "multiple personality" twist and perpetuating a harmful and overdone stereotype. I think there other writing options to still showcase Jeff's skill in a more effective way than this choice. There was no reason, either psychologically or magically, why Aladdin's character would be the way he is. While I'm aware that this is not the kind of musical to explore those kinds of themes or strive for accurate representation, and this is set in a fantasy world, I don't understand the necessity of having a character that mirrors a real person living with a real disorder. These disorders shouldn't be played for laughs or shock value or just another villain being "crazy". I don't think there were any bad intentions behind it, but I also think that it's important to bring attention to these unfortunate tendencies in media of the portrayal of these kinds of characters.

Specifically the song Ghost Love Score. Like, Twisted gets seriously close to capturing the sound of symphonic metal and it’s insane. (Also reaction videos to that song, specifically Floor Jansen’s live performance, tend to do numbers so. Bonus if you’re looking for one-off reaction ideas lol)

I've been wanting to see Casper's reaction to the title song since I first heard it (especially the last third), and here we are, yes! Cas forgot the princess and uh... What'sHisName WhoevertheFu-- And there was one other moment I recall this year when Casper said 'no' to pausing, but dang me, I can't remember it right now. It is amazing that Jafar met a vulnerable girl, sang A Song with her, and then they wound up having a baby, proving his point that a song is a prelude to a d!ck. I love how Aladdin has 2Ds in his name but there's nothing Devoted or Dutiful about him in this show. Al's actor in the movie was legitimately riffing, telling Rajah to take off and scat, not for anyone to take off their clothes. I can never like Gaston or let him be redeemed. He paid an institution to take Belle's father if she refused marriage again, and Maurice was traumatized by Beast, not crazy. Eff Gaston. I knew I'd always like this Jafar when he freed Genie and switched places with him. We all know Aladdin would selfishly use his last wish in this universe, and Genie would go right back to the lamp. :'( Casper enjoying VHS Christmas Carol will be the highlight of the festive season, I can't wait.

2025-10-24 05:42:04 +0000 UTCI saw a community theater do twisted and when Aladdin gets on his knees to complain life’s not fair his wig flew backwards and he really quickly made it work by saying, “see! I’m only 33 and bald!” It was hilarious and a great way to make the mistake part of the show. Also loved this reaction!
