2025-11-20 07:12:20 +0000 UTCI would love to see casper react to game changer, if mortius has a pinstriped suit he should show him the first episode, kinda looks like sam tbh

2025-11-05 03:06:04 +0000 UTCits likely bcz raven phrased it in a "we didnt have a choice" way vs qrow clearing up that they did n she just abandoned her task and fled

2025-10-21 00:59:35 +0000 UTCthe reason they are surprised by the ability to turn into birds is that its an extra ability beyond the normal abilities that normal people have. normal people have 1 special ability aka a semblance which normally is just one thing or one theme. so them having 2 separate abilities is pretty much akin to the maidens in terms of violating the laws of their world's power system. I also feel the need to point out that other than salem, everything casper listed as examples of how wild their world is are all normal everyday things to them. those are odd to us as we don't have them in our universe but to them they are a natural and normal as animals are in our world. its like if our world was fictional to a universe that never figured out how to detect and alter dna were to watch a show set in our universe and were surprised when the characters learned that some lab somewhere had made a human-animal hybrid and the people on the show being shocked. they would say things like: "they had had genetically altered organisms for decades, why is it shocking that someone made an altered human?" she's mad due the implication that ozpin messed around their physical bodies and made them essentially not human or fanus anymore. its like as I said above learning that someone rewrote someone else's dna to make them a hybrid.

2025-10-19 20:45:00 +0000 UTCFor me I ship Oscar and Ruby but NOT ozpin and Ruby. Oz can go sit in mental timeout and let them be cute. Poor Oscar never asked for this lol.

2025-10-19 16:34:56 +0000 UTCIt's fitting that Casper asks about Ruby learning to use her silver eyes and Mortius mentioning that things happen in V6, as a lot of that stuff (and a certain character!) was originally meant to be in Volume 5, but had to be cut!

2025-10-19 02:07:41 +0000 UTCSomething to note with the no retreat thing - It's also Ozpin. Which everything with Pyrrha points that he has a bad habit of getting people to agree before telling them everything. Which is very important to note in the agreement bit. Especially as Yang did catch Ozpin not mentioning something - and the statement is given to him is not to do that again

2025-10-17 14:08:13 +0000 UTCif you look at the paused frame of the video at 2:35:18 you can see that Jaune has 2 sheaths, one on his sword making it the great sword and one on his hip, thought I'd share

2025-10-17 10:32:59 +0000 UTCI'm guessing about the bird thing was because it's kinda bordering on human experimentation? No other characters can transform in such a way. Their bodies are able to be durable, but immutable.

2025-10-17 03:54:08 +0000 UTCThe explosion that happens in Chapter 10 is caused by the weapons Fennec was holding, the rubble crushed the weapons and agitated the dust into an explosive state. On if Ilia is responsible for any guards death, it is definitely more on the side of complicit I think, but it is worth noting that if she had come forward, left a note saying "this is what the WF is about to do" instead of leading Blake into a trap, most likely a lot of, if not everyone could have been saved, as Corsec and Fennec wouldn't have been expecting the guards to raid them while they're planning to raid the Belladonnas. Jaune really said "ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves". We actually do have an answer for why the silver eyes would hurt Cinder, and it has to do with the Volume 3 flashback episode. Originally, Cinder wore a glove that summoned a bug grimm to steal the Maiden powers from Amber, but once the connection was cut, the glove and grimm disappeared while at the same time her tattoo formed on her back. I always took this as the bug fusing with Cinder and her tattoo being sort of an inverse to the white plating that normally covers grimm.

2025-10-17 01:37:57 +0000 UTCAlso, while Jaun wouldn't know, its extra hurtful because Weiss is in the exact pose Pyrrha died in. Also what's fun to know, While not adding to the Sadness, In the ending bits of Volume 4, Emerald uses her semblance to create a version of Ruby in the same pose.

2025-10-16 22:55:30 +0000 UTCRaven wearing the mask during the Salem-Squad conversation totally makes sense to me. For one, I also came up with the theory that she is the actual Maiden and wants to keep up the front by hiding her eyes. I actually started to form that theory when Yang entered the scene and was stopped by a lightning bolt summoned from off camera and Raven thanked Vernall for it while wearing the mask - all my misdirection alarm bells went off! Now when the maiden powers were shown and Raven wore her mask and Vernall closed her eyes, my brain immediately asked "is that just clever budget minimization or do they double down on the misdirect?" And then we've seen her don her mask the last time someone entered the camp and demanded her audience (aka when Yang entered). And there are multiple reasons to do so. A mask covers the main aparatus of honest communication: the face and eyes. Sure we still have body language and voice changes, but the face gives us away the fastest! In an uncertain situation it makes sense to obscure the face to maintain the power you have since your oponent can't read your reactions as easily!

2025-10-16 21:32:47 +0000 UTCAnd to twist that last shot even harder and more painfully... What was one of the things Pyrrha's weapon could turn into? I'm fairly sure (like 95%) that Cinder absolutely made that spear a replica of her last victim's, knowing it would be familiar to every single one of her enemies there.

2025-10-16 08:33:56 +0000 UTCRe starting discussion: I thought the reason everyone was shocked by the bird powers was cause its "magic" rather than semblance. This world didn't think magic itself actually existed, semblance being an extention of their soul and enhanced by a natural force that is dust. So someone being able to turn into an actual bird and that isnt even their semblance is pretty weird 🤔

2025-10-16 08:07:13 +0000 UTCElijah mentioned noice also this volume is probably one of my favorite because there's so much in world politics and plots

2025-10-16 03:37:32 +0000 UTCYeah and even though raven is apparently annoyed/angry at what Ozpin "did to them" she still uses the ability, if she truly hated it as much as she seems to claim then you'd think that she'd want to never use what what supposedly forced on her

2025-10-16 02:45:30 +0000 UTCI think the reason yang made a big deal out of ozpin giving qrow and Raven bird powers is because she was under the impression that it was forced upon them. Raven seems like she purposefully worded it to make yang think ozpin was worse than he was, that he FORCED them to take the bird powers. Raven literally said “ you don’t know what ozpin DID to my brother and me.” And that makes it seem like it wasn’t qrow and ravens choice to accept it, ozpin just MADE them into birds against their will which adds to the whole “do the people who help ozpin against Salem actually have the luxury of choice?” Theme that’s been going on ever since pyrah got the maiden talk. Which is why qrow had to clarify that they DID choose to accept the powers after yang started going off and ozpin further clarified with a sort of speech about “everyone has a choice and you can choose to leave now.” I DON’T blame people for not picking up on that tho cuz it’s honestly not that clear that this was supposed to be the reason yang was upset and even if they were forced to be birds, it’s not like them turning into birds is painful or something that they can’t control so it’s not even an inconvenience and seems like it would have nothing but benefits so truly, the only thing yang is upset about is if Raven and qrow gave consent which is still important but idk she just reacted too extremely for it to only be that.
