Which goes back to the whole consent/agreeing thing. Because the students didn't know that they were signing up to be meat shields for the school. (They sure ain't being paid for it) And besides the morality of it. Because no one knew that they were defending the relic - the priority became evacuation.

Like it's fine with movies and shows and such, but like analog clocks or the analog speedometers I have to look at for some time for my brain to comprehend what they are telling me. And when I play online DnD I totally could play it in my living room and put foundry on my TV - it would be way more comfortable sitting wise! - but I can't see shit of what's going on! So yeah, I agree! While I'm on the same team as Mortius concerning comfort and the longevity one can play if not comfortable, there are certainly situation where desktop gaming actually is the way to go!

From this fight, I had strongly believed tyrians semblance was linked to the opponents aura. It felt like he was always targeting the weapons, as if to steal the aura off of them. Why else would a bare fisted crow surprise him so badly and wait for crow to grab the weapon. To sap aura… it’s easier to attack a ‘shield’ cloaked in it, rather than a body trying to dodge. One of the blows to ruby had her blocking with the scythe, but her aura still seemed to take a hit. Then with the interest in Jaune, he was the only character we knew to have ‘a lot’ of aura.

In both instances you hear Raven's theme, specifically the part of her theme that's used in a future song ;)

The music, the enemies, the message, and the relations of the characters. I hope we get to see them soonishly. I loved that you sort of fast-tracked this week with volume 4 and I'll be waiting on pins and needles for the remainder of the Volume.

2025-07-27 22:06:53 +0000 UTCI think Mordius should've nipped Casper's theory about Ruby and Cinder being connected through the maiden's power in the bud because in Volume 3, we physically see the maiden's power being given back to Amber from Pyrrah and transferred to Cinder when she killed her. We know that Pyrrah didn't have any of the maiden's power when she died.

2025-07-27 21:07:26 +0000 UTCWhen I first learned about Qrows Semblance 2 thoughts entered my mind immediately: - Ravens idea of family is super skewed and she doesn't really seem to care about them - yet she can portal around, so she could technically fight wherever and be home for supper. Qrow loves his nieces and he is the bestest uncle and he really seems to crave that connection - yet his Semblance forces him to be alone. If they could switch abilities, they would be way happier!!!! - Qrow says his Semblance is bad luck and that affects his life negatively, but during a fight he can redirect that bad luck in a way. Isn't one persons bad luck anothers good luck? So is it maybe his attitude that makes him a bad luck charm and really his Semblance is Probability or something akin?

2025-07-27 19:51:39 +0000 UTCCasper, if you enjoy Volume 4, you’re gonna love the rest of RWBY, you’ve now cleared the ‘worst’ parts of it. All the Weiss stuff is so tragic, and again a good showing of PTSD, I love how seriously RWBY takes things like that. I never noticed Tyrian’s eye thing before, that’s a cool detail. In a caught up world, it’s so easy to forget just how big of a lore drop Chapter 8 is. But this episode is sooooo crazy I do firmly believe that they didn’t intend for it to come across as coercion, but they basically coerced Pyrrha into doing this. Fascinating how it’s Ozpin telling us about the ancient, actually real gods. Hard to talk more about this section without being spoilery though, which is a shame. With everything be based on fours, I do wonder if there are Gods of Knowledge and Choice that we just haven’t been told about as of this episode. Interesting note – Ozpin earlier says “I built that academy” when talking to Oscar, and Qrow says that it was Ozpin’s predecessor who built them. So, that’s interesting. Ghira continues to be the best father in Remnant. It’s so heartbreaking to hear the phrase “How can you still love me?” too (And Blake! You were 12! People who are 12 make stupid mistakes like that!) I love Nora, she is amazing lol Qrow’s VA switches between 6 and 7 actually! So we have 2.5 seasons more with Vic. More to say with Qrow’s semblance when we learn more about his relationship with Raven Sun really earns those slaps again imo. I really think Blake is justified in her reaction, as his lack of boundaries and everything just compounds. Is this info he needs to tell her? Yes, absolutely! BUT the way he goes around it is so poor that it really gets in the way of the message.
