Thank you so much, this is a beautiful reaction. I’m so excited to see you continue, my favorite volumes remain ahead, but they only exist on the foundations Monty laid for them, and I hope you will enjoy what his successors built in his wake just as much as his direct work. There’s a lot of journey left to—especially with the volume 10 in writing announcement we just got! So excited for us all. And as always, thank you for your open arms production.

2025-07-10 02:43:20 +0000 UTCAfter being patient through the rest of the series, I had to break down and join the Patreon to reach the conclusion of Volume 3 early. Velvet's scene in V3C11 is one of my favorite moments in media, I May Fall is my favorite song from RWBY, and I was so glad to take this journey with you, to see Casper's reactions, and to see Mortius singing along and gaslighting his cohost. Keep up the great work guys.

2025-07-02 03:34:29 +0000 UTCVelvet's weapon uses light dust if I remembered the name correctly, but it's VERY expensive, and indeed, she can't reuse it again, she needs to replace the dust (and probably the pictures too).

2025-06-27 18:27:02 +0000 UTCRWBY was my reason to become a patreon! I got introduced to the show through OAR and watched the first volume on Youtube with them. Then binged the rest of the show between christmas and new years and decided to do patreon before the year was over - the single channels followed soon after. So yeah, it might not bring the numbers, but the people 😉

2025-06-23 09:19:13 +0000 UTCI know y'all say that RWBY is not as profitable but I just want you to know that I found y'all because of Epic but I'm definitely going to be staying here for RWBY!

2025-06-18 02:59:42 +0000 UTCAlso, I actually like Roman’s death on the level that its what he deserved but ALSO in the lesson that siding with the “I'm gonna be evil and hurt and kill people” you are going to end up hurt and killed.

2025-06-17 01:47:25 +0000 UTCIf I could wish for one official RWBY thing, I'd wish for like 6 more fight scenes where Roman and Neo are working together. They are so cool and I seriously love them. Absolutely my favorite fighting duo, even more than the main cast’s team ups.

2025-06-17 01:44:20 +0000 UTCJust to clarify so credit is given correctly, Ruby vs Torchwick and Neo was animated by Joel Mann, not Monty. None of the fights in Volume 3 were solely animated by Monty, but there are little snippets of his unfinished work in both Yang vs Mercury and Pyrrha vs Penny.

2025-06-17 01:37:19 +0000 UTCI randomly just realized that I was waiting for this session to point something out, but then my shipping brain took over. So here is what I wanted to say for about half a year now: Fuck damn it, I never wanted my colour theory to be so right in all the wrong way. And Roger I adore you, but fuck you! When I came up with my colour theory and you commented that you'll screenshot it "for reasons" my anxiety fucking skyrocketed. And now I know why: there is a reason, why certain pairs match up and compliment each other colour wise, and there is a reason why Jaune and Phyrra don't - because she fucking dies!!!

2025-06-16 15:40:09 +0000 UTCCasper is feeling all the emotions I felt sitting on my couch in 2015 as my sister and I watched in abject horror. Valentine’s Day was wild that year.

2025-06-15 14:29:18 +0000 UTCYeah same, though it warms me to know that at least Blake chose Yang during the Volume 1 initiation since she was on the tree tops waiting for her. we even see Blake's shadow run swiftly across in the foreground as Yang is wandering the forest calling for Ruby.

2025-06-15 01:53:03 +0000 UTCSomething that CRWBY confirmed is to look at the tops of their heads when they are in their bird form. Qrow has a little tuft of feathers sitting on his head while Raven's bird head is smoother. That's how to tell them apart.

2025-06-15 01:51:02 +0000 UTCSOOO so happy to hear you'll be continuing RWBY on OAR, I would love to see Casper's reaction to [redacted, redacted, etc.]. Also, slight disagreement with Mortius about Raven's presence during the end monologue. I understand it, especially given that the animation style makes it visually ambiguous, but the sound design is definitely using a crow call when the bird flies away. I've noticed that most times that a black bird appears, they make it a point to include a call to distinguish what kind it is. Ravens have much deeper calls, while crows make the higher-pitched "caw-caw" sounds. But once you start paying attention to this, it makes it fun to go back and see who was in which scene. (Of course, for the record, the sound designers could have made mistakes, but that always seemed unlikely to me. Especially since both calls were used at different times. I'd more likely believe it to be a mistake if they used the same bird call every time.)

2025-06-14 18:04:03 +0000 UTCYeah, 3 is amazing, but it's not my favourite either. For me it's 7, closely followed by 8 and 3 and actually 4! I understand why a lot of people don't like it, but I absolutely love it - especially for the character developement.

2025-06-14 17:20:17 +0000 UTCMortius may view Volume 3 as the best season, but I'm a hard believer for Volume 8 being the best season, so Casper, don't take Mortius' view of V3 being peak and everything after being slightly lesser too seriously, it's all a matter of preference. I've heard enough people talk about RWBY that I've heard of at least 5 different "peak" Volumes, starting from V3.

2025-06-14 16:33:59 +0000 UTCI was a Bumbleby shipper from volume 1, but up until 3 I saw it as one sided, as in my sapphic queen Yang having big feelings for Blake, but it not being on Blakes radar / not being reciprocated. That's why, when Blake trauma responded after Yangs "assault" on Mercury, Yangs reaction felt like her world falling apart. And when Blake left now? Yang defaults to anger, so she doesn't have to deal with her feelings. Obviously that is just my interpretation, but that's how I read it... imo, Yang has it bad for the emo cat! Blake is interesting though. Like, I never saw any indication from her side, until her reaction when Adam pointed out Yang. Could be a "that's my friend, don't hurt her", but it seemed to be a bit more 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 Yeah, volume 3 left me devastated, but my shipper heart was in full swing!

2025-06-14 14:45:09 +0000 UTCWhat’s so crazy is I remember watching Roman die as a kid and literally being so distraught. Not because he died anti-climatically but the fact that he died at all. I loved him.😂😂

2025-06-14 13:59:49 +0000 UTCOof, I had completely forgotten they put the second song in the credits and now I'm crying at midnight. As it reminds me of my friend who I watch RWBY with who passed away a couple months ago 😢💛🖤🫂

2025-06-14 07:19:50 +0000 UTCThat Narrator Reveal was my favorite moment watching as they came out. I remember Volume 1, Episode 1, and the moment I heard "so You may prepare your 'guardians' ..." I said, "Oh... this is a villain monologue... this show's gonna go in at some point!" It was so satisfying seeing the curtain pull back and the show finally take the turn it told us it would from Episode 1. Loving the Reactions so far, Super excited for volume 4. I simply cannot wait!

2025-06-14 06:40:03 +0000 UTCOn intro foreshadowing… the final scene where you see the four mains… the only one looking up is rwby. Great foreshadowing on how 3/4 team members fell at the end of this season.

2025-06-14 03:53:47 +0000 UTCSo a couple of cool stuff, don't remember if it was confirmed or a theory: the fall of beacon is on Ruby's birthday, making that the worst 16th birthday ever :) Ironwoods willingness to let them run away without fault is tied to his character trait exhibited in "Welcome to Beacon": "Do you honestly believe your children can win a war?" means he doesn't consider the students to even really be combatants. Also I've always believed even as early as this Volume that the reason this series uses "Volume/Chapter" instead of "Season/Episode" is because the show will end with one of the characters reading the story to their kid as a kind of, "this will become a fairytale/legend in the future" type of thing similar to Qrow's "most fairytales come from somewhere" line

2025-06-14 03:19:28 +0000 UTCCASPER DON'T READ THIS UNLESS MORTIUS SAYS IT'S OK ... ... ... ... ... Keeping this as spoiler-free as I can, one of the things I really appreciate about RWBY is how much there are still echoes of the characters we've lost even as the story keeps moving forward. Just like Casper said, a person isn't *really* gone so long as the things they've said and done are still felt and remembered by the people they knew, and by that metric none of the characters we loved are really gone from the show. RWBY doesn't do the "forgotten fallen friend" trope. You can still feel the presence of the characters who died in the show, in the most beautiful and heartbreaking way, even though the other characters had to move forward without them. Just like you can still feel the presence of Monty even though the creators had to move forward without him.

2025-06-14 02:40:38 +0000 UTCFun Fact #1: Every one of Team JNPR's allusions disguised themselves as a member of the opposite sex at some point in their legend. When Achilles was disguised as a woman, he went by the name Pyrrha. So while Pyrrha's name is indeed a reference to a Pyrrhic victory, it's also another reference to her allusion. Fun Fact #2: Earlier in v3, Qrow said "They don't give out medals for 'almost'", to which Ruby replied "They do and they're called silver!" Ruby was almost fast enough to save Pyrrha, and that's when she unlocked her silver eyes.
