He’s the right-hand man of the captain, if something happens to BOTH of them then there’s nobody really set to be in charge, and 2. Eury is being SMART, cuz of COURSE he wouldn’t follow Ody into the lion’s den (hehe cuz Circe has lions) just to be killed by something he sees as impossible to defeat. And he was RIGHT, the only reason Ody survived is because Hermes felt a little silly and decided to give him a boon. Eury has definitely been dumb, as has all the men including Ody at certain points, but this is one of the least stupid things Eury has done in this whole journey

2024-10-02 11:30:38 +0000 UTCTo be fair. Circe is very playful in puppeteer because she already *has* the upper hand and all the power. In done for, it's an *actual* battle with the molied up ody. So of course she'd be a lot more angry and witchy.

She's the one causes the Trojan War via the Apple of Discord. So she kind of caused all of this by being a petty queen.

2024-10-01 03:20:19 +0000 UTCThe reason I think Eurylochus stays on the beach is because 1. It's a bad idea to have the leader and the man who replaces him if he dies on the same suicide mission. 2. It's easy to forget but Odysseus is part god and Eurylochus is just a man, he has every right to think this is an awful idea.
