2024-09-24 19:33:37 +0000 UTCA reason Hades wasn't in the Odyssey could also be related to the fact that death gods are rarely mentioned especially by name as it was believed it would attract there attention. Hades was also one of the later gods of the pantheon with Posiden filling his position as a death god but I believe by the time the Odyssey was written Posiden was firmly just god of the sea.
