This is one of my go to comfort films. It is truly the most beautiful and touching pieces of cinematic art ever made. Thank you for letting me share it with you, and to see Casper experience it for the first time.

Hello! Took me way to long to watch this! Casper, I want you to know you are not the only person who asked the question if Bruno has DID. I have seen a lot of people speculate that. And while it has never been 100% confirmed, a lot of people see various mental illnesses in the madrigals, often the result of trauma. Luisa shows signs of an Anxiety Disorder, Bruno with OCD, Abuela with depression and PTSD, Pepa Bipolar, and etc. Those possible representations along with the depiction of generational trauma is one reason why this movie hits so many people so hard.

"cause she always calls her mum". Lyric in the Song a few sec ago: "and my Dad married Julieta"

Have you watched arcane that would be an awesome reaction.

This is how Pretty Much It who is on Patreon and does movie and tv commentaries does it! They give us a “pause when he says to pause and play when the Disney logo goes away” or something like that. It works super well and I’ve been able to take their commentaries to the movie theater and been completely synced :)

The older we get and the more we experience, the more films like this make us cry. All we need to remember is that it's okay, and if it's not, it's going to be. Can't wait for more Hamilton, more projects and for the month of October!

honestyl love this format, n cant wait to see what other reactions this might make possible

i don’t know much abt music but interesting that casper said he doesn’t associate the accordion with latin american music (this term is okay to use btw, and actually includes mexico/central america so it’s also preferred!) because in mind it’s an incredibly stereotypical old timey colombian rural village instrument haha. maybe it’s just specifically more used in colombian music than general latino stuff though !

abt what casper said at the end: im colombian and i dragged my grandma to the cinema to watch this movie the day it came out and yes, we were both delighted by it! the opening scene in particular really cemented to me how significant it was gonna be bc even tho its never named/is meant to be vague, the violence abuela n the rest of her hometown deal with is very clearly an homage to la violencia (a very brutal civil conflict that was at its height during 50s-60s), something my grandma personally experienced as a child n actually kind of ended up losing her husband to as well later on in the 80s. haha can you tell i saw a lot of my family history in this movie

latinokaeya (colombiche)

“this movie isn’t predictable for you” right after casper accurately predicts the ending of the movie lmao mortius PLEASE i’m already dying 😂

i’m CACKLING, prophet casper was on a ROLL this video 😂 i actually really did like this this format! i like that you paused to talk after the songs- they felt like very natural stopping points. thanks so much for the content!

TheBookWyrm

Format worked for me (except the adds on my Disney Plus, which isn't your fault so nbd). I second the people saying this would be a great way for the two of you to do tick, tick, boom, which I would love to see the two of you react to from the perspective of working creators (which you will understand from in the opening scene)
