I'm getting very sick of writing in anime
Added 2025-05-03 07:21:24 +0000 UTCI am a very big fan of anime. Mostly manga, really. But anime is becoming a victim of very lazy writing. Maybe it's just my age or maybe I'm just watching bad anime but it feels like it's becoming a place of sudden twists that rely on our expectation that quick paced story telling for short attention spans is normal. But, I believe that the audience of anime has a more complex perspective. Even if it sells, it doesn't mean we like it. Maybe what sells is what we feel most often. But I'm getting physically sick of stories that just play on soft tropes when most of us are living in a harsh world. We are tougher than this and we are smarter than this. We aren't all geniuses but anyone can see that this obsession with stories of the past are showing that Perhaps this isn't the right way. And I am praying to God that my stories aren't feeding this flow of pointless bullshit.
