Sorry I think you guys might be wrong about the time limit thing with Cipher and his power. With Jordan, I do think he ran out of juice/could be to do with what Jordan said re: feeling that Cipher was in pain while he was controlling them. With Polarity, we see Polarity literally break free from Cipher's control using his powers
