Vax is my fave, and Percy is my second, so I'm somewhere in the middle of your reaction and theirs. I was devastated by the funeral, but I was so glad to see Vax pull his head out of his ass with Keyleth. So this was a rollercoaster of an episode lol.

2024-12-16 04:10:36 +0000 UTCI love the story of Vex and Vax’s dad. He’s an awful asshole who belittles, insults, and out write degrades and dismisses his own children. But you can tell in the way that, he has a WIFE! And his third child giggles at him, that it’s a front of some kind of trauma. He’s a victim of Vehement and strict racism and classism among elves. The mom was human. He had kids with a HUMAN woman who would die off of old age before he can blink, but he loved her like a person. He sent his human and half-human children away, to get them away from him so he could A, protect his home without people being stuck behind their racist walls, and B, so they wouldn’t be subjected to that. But… he internalized that racism and prejudice. He treated his own children like an other after his wife died. He started seeing “why” elves say they are lesser, not because they are… but because of the problems and pain that comes with them. But in reality he was a grieving widower who decided to ignore his feelings and trust that he was wrong in the beginning. And you can see how it messes with him. He walks so tightly, he barely says anything, doesn’t show ANY emotion… something elves are supposed to have in spades! He became the person who’s whole personality is “The self is worth less than the many, on all formats” and let the parts of him that made him want to be a leader in the first place disappear… But all it took was for that to be proved wrong… Vex lived like him and the same sorrow came…

2024-11-17 23:33:08 +0000 UTCI gotta be honest, I never connected to percy the way others did, whatsoever, I dunno why. But damn, this show brought me down to earth and humbled my ass plenty. Even I got feels over the loss of de rolo. I don't know how yall processing this shit but glad you guys stuck with this show. Story is 10/10 to be a tearjerker IRL.

It's been a ride watching you guys react and fall in love with the characters, just as I did when watching this all unfold on Twitch. On a more positive note you guys should go to their Christmas, one-shot campaign, live show in Camden NJ in December if you can. It will definitely be an amazing experience.
