The show did a good job to make us root for both the Penguin and Sofia but in the end Oz is a true psychopath. The moment it was revealed he left his brothers to die I knew how much of a psychopath the guy was. Also see how his mother she'd a tear in the end? She made him promised to kill her if she ever get in a vegetative state but dude is so self-centered. Great show overall and outstanding acting chops from Crisitin Milioti, she was the highlight. That and the direction of the show.

And Oz was afraid that love would be used against him again like it was with his mother. That's a complex and heart-wrenching thing to wrap your head around. That is amazing writing.

2024-11-12 08:35:29 +0000 UTCIncredible show. I had theories about the finale and was right on most things but even then there were a few aspects that TOTALLY surprised me. This show goes up there with Arcane and Andor as recent masterpieces in entertainment. There's still great writing out there amongst the slop we often get nowadays. When you get the right people to run the show like they did here, you get quality stories that won't soon be forgotten. The showrunner and lead writer, Lauren LeFranc, is incredible and I can't wait to follow her career. Hopefully she'll get a lot more work after this series.
