Its just 2 episodes about an hour each and the last part happens right before the movies. It was made before Ashoka existed and a few things contradict the modern clone wars, but I consider everything in it that doesnt contradict, as cannonical.

I know that’s pre-Disney canon, but the point is that the Techno Union and the rest of the Separatist leadership are actual bad guys.

2024-08-21 00:21:38 +0000 UTCThere are some things that are referenced in Bad Batch that they wouldn't fully appreciate unless they'd already seen Rebels. Since their journey is about being able to fully appreciate when something or someone is referenced I think it's best they stick to their original route of TCW > Rebels > Ahsoka. Then they can come back and appreciate the newer animated series that have incorporated elements from those earlier shows.

2024-08-20 02:47:23 +0000 UTCReal quick, you guys were mixing up Echo and Fives. It was Fives that knew about Palpatine. Echo got taken out during the Citadel arc back in Season 3. But yeah man, I followed this from the beginning. Saw the movie in theater and then watched every episode as they aired. And yeah, after Disney bought Star Wars they cancelled The Clone Wars with season 5. Having it end on Ahsoka leaving the Order was such a heartbreaking moment. But then a few months later they announced that Netflix came in to foot the bill to do another season of episodes they had in production when the show was cancelled. That was Season 6 aka The Lost Missions and THAT we thought was the end for good because after that Dave Filoni moved on to Rebels. But thankfully when Disney was throwing D+ money around Dave was able to get one last season going SIX YEARS later but we finally got a proper end to the series. And I just wanna say it's been a blast revisiting it with y'all! Oh and one last thing, I don't know if you've already filmed your Revenge of the Sith reaction yet. BUT IF NOT, let me HIGHLY recommend you check out "Full Battle of Coruscant" on Youtube. It's the last arc of the 2D Clone Wars micro-series and it leads DIRECTLY into Revenge of the Sith. It is pure HYPE!
