You are still doubting poor Alicent's intentions with her son, Aegon, taking the throne. She really knew he was ill suited for the throne and had made peace with Rhaenyra being a better choice. That's why her misunderstanding, which was totally understandable btw, was even more tragic. She didn't have any ulterior motives. Also with the dragons, I think a lot of people don't understand the massive (pun) difference in sizes among them. You could see that Aegon's dragon was dwarfed by Rhaenys' dragon which is one of the largest... BUT... Aemond's dragon is the biggest by A LARGE MARGIN! LOL... I mean it's not even close. Even Daemon's dragon, which is big but very slender, is not even close to the sheer size and power of Aemond's. But yeah really sad to see Rhaenys go because not only was her character awesome but the actress playing her did an amazing job. Not to mention how awesome in one moment that look between her and her dragon when they BOTH decided to head back into the fight THEN only to have another moment of eye contact when the dragon knew it was the end. Really well done.

2024-07-09 05:31:17 +0000 UTCIf Aegon is dead, both his brothers still have a claim to the throne, meaning Aemond and Daeron (the youngest brother who hasn't been introduced yet but was mentioned a few times this season). Aemond would be the heir now.

Definitely hurts to see Rhaenys and Meleys gone as this is a blow to Team Black. Remember this is war. Several battles will happen and losses will be felt all around for everyone.
