THE CLONE WARS #74: 4x7 (Darkness on Umbara) FULL Reaction

Comments

I remember fighting on this cursed planet on the old clone wars pc game. Nice to see they were authentic with how bad it was

Michael Mayfield

Yeah I assumed when you wrote that you were omitting your own knowledge of how events unfold. Since I've seen you post stuff that shows you clearly are one of us Clone Wars nerds who really knows the show well. 😁 There's so many times on here I want to write a bunch of stuff about every episode but then I'm afraid of giving anything away or ruining anything for people.

Wayleran

Yup, definitely the tone. You can hear his hatred of the clones with every word that he speaks. The VA did a fantastic job.

Great arc here that helps us get a clearer picture of the lives and distinct personalities of the clones. They may all be clones but they are NOT all the same. Oh and yeah F**k Krell... Fish ass lookin', frog neck havin'... 🤣 And my favorite clone Fives getting a little spotlight. If you're new to the show remember Fives was part of that initial group of clones we saw early on as cadets that became the "Domino Squad" - Hevy, Cutup, Droidbait, Echo and Fives with the first four already being shown to fall heroically in battle. And if you know the full story about this please avoid spoilers. 😉

Big strong imposing drill sergeant type character explains your first observation perfectly. That's always the go to and tbh it works well. And the second thing got me thinking that calling them by their number is, in a way, a slur towards the clones when it's done with that type of tone.

I've been waiting for this arc since they started. My favorite arc in Clone Wars. It's like an old war film in the SW universe

Yee I know, I've seen this before lol I'm just having some fun watching the lads go through the journey

Palpatine had nothing to do with Krell, you are correct. You find out later in the arc why Krell is doing what he's doing, but he doesn't know the truth about Palpatine. As far as Krell and most people were aware at the time, Dooku was the big bad threat to the galaxy.

Composite Creativity

The minute Krell opened his mouth I knew two things immediately: 1. The VA was Black. 2. I already knew what time Krell was on with the Clones. I’m pretty sure if there was a slur to call them he would have used it. The later revelations were no surprise to me, but that wasn’t the point of this arc.

Palpatine is involved in a lot, but he's not in everything 😅 Krell could just be a piece of shit. Cause he's clearly a Jedi, but he seems hella racist towards Clones. He straight up pulled a Saber on Fives and threatened him for speaking up. Krell clearly has some issues, but not everyone is a double agent for Palpatine 🤣
