Evil people are so hot

Adora came back to the table with three tankards of beer just in time to hear the end of Glimmer’s complaint.

“Why do bad people always have to be so hot?” Glimmer whined and Bow chuckled light-heartedly. He pet his wife’s hand reassuringly like she was coping with some great burden.

“They might not be bad people, they just do bad things,” Bow said accepting his beer and smiling at Adora’s raised eyebrow.

“Who are we talking about?” Adora asked, sipping her drink as she glanced around the Saloon.

“The Horde scum over there,” Glimmer said nodding her head to the other side of the room. Adora followed the motion and her eyes landed on Catra. The Magicat was focused out the window, but her ears were directed towards their table. She was listening and her slight smirk was confirmation of that fact. Adora chuckled, letting her eyes wander over Catra’s form, drinking her in.

“Just to tempt us to the dark size, I’m sure,” Adora responded turning her attention back to her own companions and drinking some ale to quench her dry mouth.

Catra looked good, but she always looked good. Good and unavailable were an unfortunate combination.

“Ugh, it’s not fair. What is she even doing here?” Glimmer said, still watching Catra. Adora looked at Bow, who was just watching his wife with affection, clearly entertained.

“I guess you’ve got competition,” Adora noted to Bow with a chuckle. Bow laughed light-heartedly and Glimmer tried to hide her blush by glaring at Adora.

“I’m not worried,” Bow said, and Glimmer took his hand and kissed his knuckles.

“Of course, you don’t have anything to worry about,” Glimmer said and Adora rolled her eyes when they shared a kiss. She leaned back in her seat and glanced over at Catra again to see her finishing her beer and putting her glass down.

Her gaze was calculated as she watched Adora in return. After a moment of maintained eye contact Catra slipped out of her chair with effortless grace and headed for the door.

Adora smirked and looked back at Glimmer and Bow who had started talking in baby voices to each other. Ah, to be young and in love.

“I’ll be right back,” Adora said knowing they were barely paying her any mind. She drank deeply from her mug before leaving through the front doors.

As Adora stepped into the mid-afternoon sun, she squinted and looked around, placing her hat on her head to cut the light. She looked up and down the empty street. It was creeping close to dusk but it was easy enough to spot Catra's dark outline.

Adora grinned and headed up the street towards her, as she approached Catra slipped between the buildings and Adora followed. This could be a trap. It was very likely a trap, but she would foolishly follow Catra anywhere.

Once they were far enough from the street, Catra turned to Adora with a coy smile.

“Taking a risk coming to see me in the daylight,” Adora teased, stopping a short distance away.

“Who said I’m here to see you?” Catra rolled her eyes as she casually leaned against the side of the building.

“There are plenty of saloons closer to Horde Town, why come so far out if not for me?” Adora asked, stepping closer.

“I might be here to see someone else,” Catra said with a shrug as she picked at her claws nonchalantly. Adora felt the harsh burn of jealousy building in her chest. She tried to stamp it down but even the thought of Catra seeing someone else while they were doing whatever-this-was rubbed her the wrong way.

“Oh really?” Adora stepped closer again, crowding Catra against the wall of the building.

Catra looked up at her with a challenging glare, even a foot shorter she wouldn’t back down. Adora leaned down to speak to her as she placed her hands on the wall to cage her in.

“Who are you here to see?” She asked in a low voice and Catra’s tail thudded against the wall as she swallowed audibly. Adora didn’t intimidate Catra, she never had, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t fluster her.

“Um,” Catra started, clearly thinking. Adora hummed as she waited, pressing a kiss against her jaw to pass the time. Catra’s fur fluffed up slightly at the contact but she leaned her head to give Adora more access.

Instead of taking advantage of the offered flesh, Adora leaned back to make eye contact.

“Take your time and make it a good lie,” Adora said playfully, and Catra huffed at being called out.

In a quick motion she knocked Adora’s hat off her head and grabbed her hair to pull her close. Catra kissed Adora hard and after a moment to adjust Adora lifted Catra to pin her to the building behind her.

Catra trilled in surprise before she bit Adora’s lip, forcefully pushing her tongue into Adora’s mouth to deepen the kiss.

Adora didn't resist but she wasn't playing along. She didn’t match Catra's speed as she kissed Catra slow and calm until she settled. Catra whined deep in her chest and her hands went slack in Adora’s hair as she melted into the softer kiss.

They continued at Adora’s speed until they parted for air and Adora rested her forehead against Catra’s as she panted for breath.

“Who?” Adora asked in a firm tone.

“You,” Catra softly panted and Adora squeezed her thighs. Catra growled and looked up at Adora. Her sharp fangs peeked out from her swollen lips as her tail lashed. She looked ready to bite Adora and she would usually be happy to let her.

“I’m here with people,” Adora said in a regretful tone. She really couldn’t let Glimmer and Bow catch her up to something with a Horde Captain. Even if it was just Catra. They wouldn’t understand and would rightfully think she was being played. She wasn’t entirely sure she wasn’t. Catra always liked to play her games.

“I saw them. Just send them away,” Catra said with a frustrated huff as she wiggled impatiently.

“I can’t, we are staying the night before we move on,” Adora said with a sigh.

“Why?” Catra spoke with suspicion in her voice as her eyes narrowed. Adora chuckled.

“No work talk,” Adora reprimanded and Catra glared at her.

Adora couldn’t tell her she was looking for a wagon of medical supplies that was stolen by the Horde. She couldn’t say she had a lead, taking her down to the Crimson Planes to a newly discovered safehouse owned by the Horde. She couldn’t say anything about their work because this was people’s lives and livelihoods at stake.

Catra seemed to realise Adora wouldn’t tell her anything about this and frowned deeper. She pushed her small hands on Adora’s chest and Adora took the hint and let her slide to the floor. Not missing a chance to run her hands up her body in the process. Adora stepped back from her, assuming Catra was leaving in the wake of this new information.

Catra stepped closer to her, looking up at Adora as she poked her finger into her chest.

“Then you better find a way to meet me after dark,” Catra said like a threat, and Adora quirked an eyebrow at her.

“Oh?” Adora said softly before Catra walked back towards the main street. Adora let out a long sigh as she watched Catra’s hips sway. Once out of sight Adora bent down to get her hat and hit it against her thigh to clean the dust off.

She sat the hat squarely on her head and headed back to the main street. Catra was going to be the death of her.
