early on its mentioned that robin is forbade by batman to reveal his identity, thats why he wears sunglasses all the time as well, the "omg theyre wearing glasses, now i cant tell who it is" trope of the ye olde times of comic books...and yes, his name is Dick, another thing that was common in ancient times lol
